Mt Rosa

The Gibbston Valley in Central Otago has become synonymous with producing some of the world’s most unique Pinot Noir. Its dry stoney soil structures and high altitude growing conditions are perfect for vines that struggle in the harsh conditions and produce outstanding low yielding single vineyard Pinot Noir and Pinot Gris. Mt Rosa is located at the eastern end of the Gibbston Valley in the famous Queenstown tourist area of New Zealand and also operates as a high country Merino sheep station. With sheep scattering the surrounding hills, the 35 h.a. of vineyard on the valley floor makes Mt Rosa one of the largest vineyards in the whole of the Central Otago Region.
